Just saying
Christians use the phrase, “It’s great for witnessing,” in an almost identical way to how a lot of people use the phrase, “It’ll look good on your CV”: to make something they get no enjoyment out of sound good.

I imagine all sorts of things in my life as graphs.
It’s not just like ‘my year has been a bit of a bathtub curve’… I try to work out the function.
Sometimes I feel like sin(x) tending towards infinity. I don’t know whether I’m up or down.
It’s not just mood either. Anything that changes over time may be in my head as a graph.
I should get a job.
Huh?
You mean it’s essential I read at least 100 books?

I listen to Makus Stockhausen playing Karlheinz Stockhausen
Me: I feel ill, wonder if it’s over yet. He’s been holding that note for a while, maybe this track’s almost over. *Checks* It’s half way through…
I mean, if function generators and pulse monitors playing over the brass band during their warm up are your sort of thing, then by all means listen to Stockhausen. It’s the kind of thing that sounds terribly intelligent, like listening to someone plotting the Riemann-Zeta function on a Dubreq Stylophone. Here a melody, there chaos, always hesitant.
I can’t imagine, say, drifting off in the bath to it though.
Peter is without facebook
Also, he is slightly disturbed that the only books he has seen people reading in his time at Imperial (other than the obvious course material) have been the Myth of Sisyphus by Albert Camus and the Castle by Franz Kafka.
I got a fever
Spotify Saint Etienne: Shad Thames

In other news, wikipedia’s front page today is a steam train. I love the retro stylings. I’ve had quite a limited exposure to steam engines in my life, so it’s nice to learn something new.
U2: Seekers to Saints to Sinners (Saved by Grace)
I wonder how much money is made by the record industry from Christians who enter well-meaning discipleship programs, destroy their music collections, then recreate the collections at a later date.
Imperial College
“I’m not happy with this, this is completely soul destroying”
“The experiment requires that you carry on”
“OK, so now I raise the workload…”
